Wild Eagles is a new program for incoming freshmen and transfer students at Boston College. This program gives new students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the outdoors, while creating lasting bonds with new friends before the start of their first year.
Wild Eagles is a unique, co-ed program at Boston College. Led by two upperclassmen, participants will experience the outdoors on a 5 day trip consisting of one or more of the following: hiking, backpacking, kayaking, camping, paddle boarding, and/or rock climbing. Trips are small in size, allowing close friendships to be formed and grow throughout the next four years of your college experience.
All of our trips are designed for beginners, as well as avid adventurers. These trips are designed to be fun, yet challenging.
Summer 2018 Trips

Why Join a Wild Eagles Adventure this Summer?
Through this program you will be able to curb your nerves about making new friends as you quickly form unique bonds with each other and create friendships that can take you into your first year and beyond. Our trips will also give you the opportunity to get to know two or more upperclassmen who will provide insight on what to expect at Boston College. Wild Eagles will challenge you and help you gain confidence when you reflect on what you accomplished during your trip. Finally, and perhaps most obviously, you'll have a blast! Try something new or come to do something you love. Either way you are bound to have a fantastic time with us and form friendships and memories that you will never forget.
Backpacking: What better way to spark new friendships and immerse yourself in the backcountry than on a five day, four night backpacking trip in the gorgeous woods of the north-east? With everything you need to survive and thrive on your back, this exciting excursion is an opportunity to kick-start your time at Boston College alongside your class!
Kayaking: There is no better way to explore the coast of Maine than by kayak. Regardless of previous kayaking experience, this five day kayaking trip will be an amazing way to get to spend time outdoors, and get to know a couple other freshmen before beginning your first year at BC.
Multi Sport: If you want to experience new adventures each day leading up to college, this is the trip for you. Expand your horizons and lean more about yourself and your new peers as you hike, stand up paddleboard and rock climb your way through the scenic north east. Don’t hesitate to challenge yourself, that is what college is all about!
